Full Bio
My name is Charlie or sckzor, and I am the supreme arbiter of this website. I am currently a High School student living in the arctic tundra...I mean great state of Michigan, USA. I spend most of my time programming and building compute hardware but I also dabble in watching YouTube and playing video games from time to time (or maybe a little more than time to time). I tend to focus more on low-level code than on high-level code, this website is by far the exception not the rule. I would consider myself proficient enough to do anything I want to in Python, C, C++, Java, Go and some assembly languages, with some brushing up on my skills of course. Almost everything I know I have learned by myself. Technically, I have taken a few classes in programming and computer science but they were mostly a boring formality. The languages that I am working the most with now are Go, C and Python.
Here are a few things that I like:
- GNU/Linux, FreeBSD and other open source operating systems I can (try to) understand.
- Programming, my favorite language is C, it is dangerously efficient.
- Computer hardware, all parts fascinate me, I learn new things from everything from a mouse to GPU RT cores.
- Vim, a text editor should be a text editor, not an operating system that gives you carpal tunnel.
- Robotics, who doesn't like robots?!
- Video Games, unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I have an exceedingly small amount of time to play these days.
- My red hat, it is on version Mk II and counting...
- Cats, and other small furry creatures.
- JavaScript and the 12,000 critical security vulnerabilities found in the average NodeJS package.
- You (just kidding!)
I have no social media so if you want to talk to me for whatever reason, e-mail me at sckzor[at]protonmail[dot]com.
Other about pages
I used to have the about sections for the website and my computers located here, I have since removed them and relocated them to the "posts" section
Finally, you can see previously set status here.
